Serving The Community

HIS Networks is jointly supported by various foundations, Christian churches and individuals in Southwest Virginia that have a desire to serve our community and provide a spiritual presence within the community. This mission is non-denominational and aims to organize and collaborate with faith-based and community to forge partnerships and build non-conventional alliance locally to better meet the needs of the people through love and service. HIS Network is LLC 501(c) (3) organization.

Some of what we do:

  • Coordinate and organize other faith-based services within the community to be used as a referral system.
  • Organize a one-to-one community based mentoring system to reduce the chances of children and young adults from being incarcerated.
  • Provide counseling and training for the Southwest Virginia Regional Jails and Local State Correction Institutions.
  • Work closely with the Judicial Drug Court and Day Reporting centers to provide rehabilitation support, mentoring and prevention.
  • Provide mentor training.
  • Advocacy with parole officers and social service agencies.
  • Provide Leadership Training and Recruiting of other faith based support teams.
  • Fellowship Events and Outreach.
  • Programming components facilitated, Including small group and one on one sessions pertaining to Life Skills, Daily Living Skills, Parenting Classes, Recovery and, Educational Achievement.
  • Spiritual education and guidance.
  • Meaningful work therapy, by providing life-skills, job search/job placement to enable self-sufficiency.

Our Mission:

HIS Networks strives to model the love of God and to meet the needs of the broken and wounded of Tazewell County by providing a spiritual and pastoral presence in the community. We act as a bridge to connect the resources of God’s people with the various needs and opportunities for ministry existing in our community. Our Mission is to build a Community of spiritual healing by empowering and supporting the effectiveness of collaboration of faith that share a call to pursue the common good by providing services to people suffering from any hurt, habit or hang-up that deteriorates health and the quality of life.  We will accomplish our Mission through organizing outreach programs on prevention, awareness, education and training.

We are broken people who have experienced the healing mercy of Jesus.

What we do

Our desire is to introduce the healed to the wounded and the wounded to the Healer.

How we do it

  • All of our efforts will be powered by prayer.
  • We will focus on building relationships that will bring healing and transformation.
  • We will Utilize Celebrate Recovery Program, a certified 12-step biblically centered program that addresses ” hurts, habits, and hang-ups” common to everybody, (not just alcoholics and addicts.)
  • We will be creative and aggressive in seeking opportunities for service.
  • We will value individuals over objectives or programs.
  • We will treat every person with dignity and respect.
  • Every situation will be handled with both integrity and compassion.
  • Our ministry and Counseling staff will devote the vast amount of their time and resources to personal development in ministry and counseling.
  • We will be good stewards of all resources available to us.
  • All operations will be conducted in a moral, legal and ethical manner.
  • This ministry will reflect a quality that is consistent with the God we serve.

Members of The Advisory Support Team

HIS Networks is accountable to a Board of Directors, and a local Advisory Team made up of individuals who represent churches, foundations and individuals that support this ministry. Members of the Advisory Team must have a passion for this ministry and be willing to commit the time necessary to fill this role. The Team works with the Board to further develop the mission of the ministry, seek opportunities of service, hold HIS Networks accountable, provide guidance, support and help raise funds.
